Choose and Verify the Right ACRA Document
ACRA product verification, electronic certification and SAL apostille are separate steps, not interchangeable stamps.

Who this guide is for
- Singapore entities providing company evidence overseas
- Founders asked for an ACRA profile, incorporation certificate or certified filing
- Teams comparing SAL paper authentication with an eligible e-Apostille
The practical problem
A Business Profile provides basic registered-entity information; a Business Certificate of Incorporation or Registration certifies registration with ACRA. A filed-document extract or register is a different information product. ACRA describes verification through trustBar for Business Profiles and incorporation or registration certificates, and Bizfile product authentication for other specified products. Since 9 December 2024 it provides electronic certification for applicable products such as extracts and registers and no longer offers manual certification. Verification of an ACRA product is not itself a SAL apostille. The SAL service selector currently distinguishes physical legalisation, with digitally issued documents printed for that route, from an ACRA-only electronic service.
Your options
Step 1: Match the fact to the product
Ask whether the recipient wants company particulars, registration evidence or a particular filed document. Record the exact entity name and UEN, product name and certification requirement. A profile should not be described as a solvency certificate or a universal good-standing opinion.
Step 2: Retrieve and verify the unmodified record
Use the official information-product route and keep its verification details. Follow ACRA's product-specific guidance: trustBar for the stated profiles and incorporation or registration certificates, and the named Bizfile authentication route for other products. Resolve mismatched company names, dates or references before further work; a screenshot is not the same as the verifiable issuer record.
Step 3: Check certification and SAL eligibility separately
For an applicable extract or register, confirm ACRA electronic certification rather than seeking discontinued manual certification. Then check SAL's current electronic eligibility for the exact item. Its launch announcement specifically identifies Business Profiles and incorporation or registration Business Certificates; the current selector says ACRA documents only. Neither statement proves that every ACRA product or a private resolution is eligible.
Step 4: Agree the overseas handover
Confirm destination, recipient format, translation and any consular follow-on requirement before selecting paper or electronic authentication. Hypothetical example: a recipient requests incorporation evidence plus a certified extract of a filed record. Verify and scope both products, then check each SAL route. Do not assume the profile's verification link or one e-Apostille satisfies the whole pack.
Documents typically needed
- Entity legal name, UEN and exact ACRA product requested
- Recipient wording on certification, document age and required facts
- Product verification information and any applicable electronic certification
- SAL route confirmation for the exact document, not merely the issuer
- Destination language and electronic or physical submission instructions
- Private corporate and authority documents only through the secure dashboard after a reviewed request
Common mistakes to avoid
- Calling trustBar verification an apostille
- Ordering a Business Profile when the recipient requires an incorporation certificate
- Requesting ACRA manual certification despite the electronic-certification guidance
- Extending ACRA e-Apostille eligibility to every product or private company document
- Printing or altering an electronic record without checking its intended submission route
How Nomadic Go helps
Nomadic Go can review the exact registry item and recipient instruction, then quote for supported retrieval of one identified document for one company. Later apostille, private certification, translation or legalisation must be separately reviewed and itemised unless expressly included in the accepted quote. Registry and shipping charges remain separate under the catalogue; fees and quote-only availability are unchanged. This page does not confirm a notary, supplier arrangement, urgent channel or approval. We do not guarantee bank acceptance or provide solvency opinions, tax clearance, legal advice or tax services. Public requests should contain non-sensitive routing facts only. Upload private company, authority or identity documents only through the secure dashboard after a reviewed request.
Important limitations: Nomadic Go provides assistance and coordination services only. We do not guarantee approval of any bank account, visa, or company registration application. All final decisions rest with the relevant bank, government authority, or regulatory body. We do not provide tax advice, legal opinions, or financial advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is a verified ACRA document already apostilled?
No. Product verification confirms the issuer record through its prescribed mechanism. SAL authentication or e-Apostille is a separate step when the overseas route requires it.
Does SAL offer an electronic route?
Its current service selector offers an ACRA-only e-Legalisation route. The launch announcement describes Business Profiles and incorporation or registration Business Certificates. Check the exact product and recipient method rather than assuming universal coverage.
Can an ACRA extract still be certified?
ACRA says it electronically certifies applicable products, including extracts and registers, and no longer offers manual certification. Confirm the particular product and whether the recipient also needs SAL authentication.
Will this pack guarantee an overseas bank account?
No. Banks assess their own corporate, authority, ownership and identity requirements. Authentication does not guarantee approval or verify facts outside the document's contents.
