Do Turkish nationals need a Schengen visa for Europe?
Yes. Turkish nationals currently require a Schengen visa for tourist visits to EU Schengen countries. The Schengen visa is a short-stay authorisation (up to 90 days). For longer residency (including working remotely), Turkish nationals must apply for a national long-stay visa or digital nomad visa through the relevant EU country's immigration authority. How does Turkish tax residency work when moving abroad?
Turkey taxes residents on worldwide income. Turkish nationals who establish genuine residency abroad and can demonstrate they have left Turkey for more than 6 months per year can potentially exit Turkish tax residency. Turkey's tax authority (GIB) may still consider someone a Turkish tax resident if they maintain a home or family in Turkey.
