- How long does the visa application take?
- From consulate appointment to visa issuance, expect 2–4 months. Timelines vary by consulate and season. Our service helps you prepare a complete application to avoid delays caused by missing documents.
- Are government and consulate fees included in the service price?
- No. Government fees (consulate visa fee, AIMA residence card fee) are payable directly to the relevant authority and are separate from our fixed service fee.
- Can I work for a Portuguese employer on the D8 visa?
- The D8 is specifically for remote workers employed by or contracted with foreign companies. Working locally for a Portuguese employer requires a different work permit.
- What happens after I receive the visa?
- Once you arrive in Portugal, you'll need to schedule an appointment at AIMA (formerly SEF) to obtain your biometric residence card. We guide you through this next step as part of our service.
