- What does the search cover?
- The standard search covers one mark, one selected market, and one class, with preliminary database screening and written findings. It is not a legal opinion or a guarantee that an application will register.
- Can I use the search fee toward a filing?
- The net paid search fee, up to $299, can be credited once against a subsequent initial filing for the same applicant, mark, and market purchased within 90 days of search completion. It cannot reduce official fees and does not transfer to a different mark, market, or applicant.
