Frequently asked questions

Can freelancers with variable income qualify for a nomad visa?

Yes. Most programs assess an average over 3–6 months, not a fixed monthly minimum. We help you calculate and present your average correctly.

Do I need to form a company before applying for a visa?

No. You can apply as a self-employed individual. A company can be useful for tax and invoicing reasons but is not a visa requirement.

What bank account do freelancers abroad typically use?

Wise Business and Revolut Business are popular for multi-currency invoicing without a traditional bank. Mercury is excellent if you have a US LLC. We recommend based on your entity and currencies.

Should I close my home-country bank account?

Not necessarily. Many freelancers keep a home-country account for tax purposes and add an international account for client payments. We advise on the right setup for your situation.

How long does it take to set everything up?

For most destinations, visa + banking + company can be set up in 4–12 weeks depending on the country. We manage all three streams in parallel to minimise total time.
